Reworld Waste in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Scale House Clerk to weigh trucks, monitor inbound/outbound activity, and maintain tickets and manifests with precision. The role supports the Operations Analyst through recordkeeping and reporting while ensuring safety and compliance on-site.

The position requires organizational skills, familiarity with Excel, and the ability to work a day shift with potential OT. Benefits are provided for full-time staff in the United States.

Qualifications

• GED/ HS diploma is required.
• One to three years of administrative, clerical and accounting experience are required.
• Must be highly organized with knowledge of bookkeeping and records management.
• Ability to work under deadlines and use business software, including Excel.
• Highly organized with detail orientation and multitasking ability.
• Exposure to a physical environment with dirt, odors and noise.

Responsibilities

• Approach all encounters with employees, customers and visitors in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Assist the Operations Analyst with recordkeeping, filing and preparing standard reports.
• Monitor inbound/outbound truck activity and acquire and monitor accurate truck weights.
• Identify correct customer accounts by communicating with drivers and visually verifying for accurate billing.
• Keep accurate records of all tickets and manifests.
• Answer the telephone and provide information to the public regarding hours, waste types and location.
• Balance daily receipts for accurate record keeping and billing.
• Ensure incoming loads are safe and do not contain inappropriate material.
• Ensure customers and employees conduct business safely and wear PPE.
• Communicate with supervisor and departments on problems or scale issues.
• Demonstrate how actions support Reworld Values and Behaviors.
