Job summary

Cohesity is seeking a Sales Engineering Manager in Illinois to lead a regional team of Sales Engineers, coach hands‑on, and drive successful pre‑sales engagements across data security, backup, and cyber resilience.

You will partner with Sales to shape wins, provide technical guidance, and ensure high‑quality technical responses. This hybrid role requires strong leadership, cloud/hybrid experience, and easy collaboration with product and engineering functions.

Qualifications

Experience partnering with Information Security, IT, or Infrastructure teams.
Prior experience mentoring Sales Engineers or leading pre‑sales teams.
Strong background in enterprise data protection, backup, or cyber resilience.
Ability to coach and develop technical talent for customer effectiveness.
Experience with on‑premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop a team of Sales Engineers across the sales cycle.
Partner with Sales Managers to support opportunities with hands‑on technical guidance.
Support customer engagements across Data Cloud portfolio including backup and security.
Assist with RFPs, RFIs, proposals, and deal support with technical responses.
Deliver product demonstrations, technical workshops, and proofs of concept.
Escalate technical challenges and collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Support.
