Job summary

Cohesity is seeking a Sales Engineering Manager to lead and develop a small SE team within the region. You will coach, enable pre‑sales execution, and guide complex customer opportunities to successful outcomes, aligning technical engagement with business value.

You'll partner with Sales Managers, support data‑cloud portfolio engagements (backup, recovery, cyber resilience, data security), and drive Q&A responses, workshops, and proofs of concept to advance strategic deals.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting SLED environments and responding to RFP/RFI processes.
• Experience partnering with Information Security/IT teams, with understanding of enterprise security concepts and risk requirements.
• Prior experience mentoring Sales Engineers or leading pre-sales teams in infrastructure, data protection, or security domains.
• Strong foundation in enterprise data protection, backup & recovery, or cyber resilience technologies.
• Ability to coach and develop technical talent to improve customer effectiveness.
• Working knowledge of on‑premises, hybrid, and cloud environments and data management integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Sales Engineers, guiding technical development and customer engagement across the sales cycle.
• Partner with Sales Managers to support new opportunities with hands‑on guidance and high‑quality pre‑sales support across territories.
• Support engagements across Cohesity’s Data Cloud portfolio—backup, recovery, cyber resilience, and data security—aligning solutions with customer requirements.
• Assist with RFPs, RFIs, proposals, and deal support with timely, accurate technical responses.
• Support conversations on secondary storage and data protection to position Cohesity as a leading data security solution.
• Ensure delivery of product demonstrations, technical workshops, and proofs of concept with SEs.
• Identify technical challenges early, escalate and collaborate with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Support to drive resolutions.
• Provide hands‑on coaching to SEs during complex deals and customer meetings; act as escalation point when needed.
