Job summary
Samsara is hiring a Sales Engineer (SE) to join a technically-minded team delivering connected operations technology to customers. You will work on logistics, fleet maintenance, asset management, and system integrations, ensuring the right technical solution is presented.
This remote role targets candidates in the Southeast region of the US (excluding specified metros). You will explore hardware, sensors, cloud infrastructure, and API integrations daily, with relocation not provided.
Qualifications
- Ideal candidate has BS in an engineering field and 1+ years pre-sales or support experience.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Basic understanding of electronics, sensors and hardware.
- Familiarity with cloud software, networking, automation and control systems.
Responsibilities
- Become an expert on Samsara products and IoT solutions.
- Demonstrate discovery to understand customer needs and answer tech questions.
- Provide standard demos and cross-team technical support.
- Explain device installation and how APIs can be used in testing environments.
- Advocate for customers in internal technical conversations.
- Collaborate with product and sales teams to incorporate feedback.
