Samsara is seeking a Sales Engineer to join our growing team and help bring our connected operations technology to customers across the US. You will engage in technical discovery, articulate IoT hardware solutions, and collaborate with the sales team to tailor demonstrations and deployments.

This role emphasizes API integrations and hands-on deployment scenarios. You will work remotely within the US and contribute to a high‑performance culture, with opportunities to influence product direction

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
• 1+ years experience with customers in a pre-sales or support role.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Basic understanding of electronics and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Become an expert on Samsara products and IoT hardware.
• Conduct discovery to understand customer needs and answer technical questions.
• Provide technical coverage across the Samsara Sales Team.
• Explain device installation to prospects.
• Educate customers on API topics and deploy scripts in a testing environment.
• Advocate for AE's and customers in internal discussions.
• Support beta programs with product and sales teams.
• Model Samsara values in global expansion.
