Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Sales Development Program candidate to begin with hands-on training at a local branch, shadowing sales and operations to learn the full equipment-rental lifecycle. You will join a North America onboarding class to sharpen sales techniques and build internal support networks.

You will progress through outbound campaigns, interact with construction segments, and master tools like CRM and inventory platforms to drive revenue growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in a customer-facing sales role preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Proficient computer and mobile device skills.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Training: must live within reasonable driving distance of assigned branch and report on-site M-F.

Responsibilities

• Begin training at a local branch, shadowing both sales and operational roles to gain an inside-out understanding of the full equipment-rental lifecycle.
• Join peers for a North American onboarding class to sharpen sales technique and build an internal support network.
• Progress through outbound sales campaigns with exposure to construction verticals, varying customer spend, and rental scenarios.
• Master sales tools including CRM, inventory management platforms, customer portal, and mobile applications.
• Lead high-level conversations involving price negotiations, rental contracts, and service considerations.
• Learn proven sales methodologies to deliver solutions and drive revenue growth.
• Participate in local team initiatives and track progress through real-time metrics and coaching sessions.
