Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Sales Associate for its Trench Safety team. You will start in a structured Sales Development Program, shadowing sales and operations, then progress through outbound campaigns and cross-functional onboarding.

You’ll master CRM, inventory platforms, and customer portals while building relationships across North America. You will engage in high‑level conversations, price negotiations, rental contracts, and end-to-end customer solutions, with daily coaching and team

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing sales role preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Proficient computer and mobile device skills.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Begin training at a local branch, shadowing sales and operations to learn the equipment-rental lifecycle.
• Join North America onboarding class to sharpen sales techniques and build internal networks.
• Participate in outbound sales campaigns across construction verticals and customer segments.
• Master United Rentals sales tools including CRM, inventory systems, and customer portal.
• Lead high-level sales conversations including price negotiations and service contracts.
