UniFirst is seeking a Route Trainee to start a rewarding career in service and customer care. You’ll receive hands-on training through our blended SCP programs while supporting daily operations and preparing to become a Route Service Representative (RSR).

You’ll assist with deliveries, service, and route coverage while learning multiple customer accounts. This role suits someone eager to grow, customer-focused, and ready to build a strong foundation in a field-based service role.

Qualifications

• Customer service mindset and ability to work independently while helping customers
• Strong time management to maintain route schedules and efficiency
• Must be dependable, with good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to follow DOT compliance and safety procedures
• Physical stamina to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. and be on feet for extended periods

Responsibilities

• Participate in Service Certificate Program to prepare for RSR role
• Assist with loading/unloading route trucks and daily operations
• Deliver clean garments to customers and return soiled items
• Provide route coverage during absences and maintain high service standards
• Operate a company walk‑in truck along designated routes
• Engage in a physically active role across indoor and outdoor environments
• Contribute to service department success and customer relationships
• Maintain a predictable Monday–Friday daytime schedule with no nights or weekends
• Represent UniFirst with safety and professionalism
