Job summary

UniFirst is hiring a Route Trainee to kickstart a rewarding career in field service and customer care. You will receive hands‑on training through a robust program while supporting daily operations and preparing to transition into a Route Service Representative role.

You’ll assist with deliveries, service, and route coverage, learning multiple customer accounts and maintaining a consistent Monday‑Friday daytime schedule with no nights or weekends.

Qualifications

• Driver's license and clean driving record.
• DOT requirements including a physical exam.
• High school diploma, GED, or military service required.
• Strong customer service skills with ability to work independently and in a team.
• Prior delivery or route-sales experience is a plus.
• Comfort with learning new technologies to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Participate in UniFirst’s Service Certificate Program to train for an RSR role.
• Assist service team with loading/unloading route trucks and starting each day accurately.
• Deliver clean garments and products to customers and return soiled items.
• Provide route coverage during RSR absences to maintain service standards.
• Operate a company walk‑in truck along designated routes with safety-first mindset.
• Work in indoor and outdoor environments requiring energy and attention to safety.
• Contribute to the Service Department’s success and customer relationships.
• Maintain a predictable Monday–Friday daytime schedule with no nights or weekends.
