Job summary

UniFirst is hiring a Route Trainee in the United States. You will participate in the Service Certificate Program, learn to support daily operations, and prepare to transition into a Route Service Representative. The role involves delivering, servicing routes, and maintaining safety while building strong customer relationships.

The position offers Monday–Friday daytime hours, with growth into a full-time RSR role through training and hands-on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or military service required.
• Driver's license with clean driving record; must be 21+.
• DOT compliance including physical exam.
• Excellent customer service and ability to work independently.
• Experience in customer service, route sales, or delivery is a plus.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. and be on feet for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Participate in UniFirst's Service Certificate Program to prepare for an RSR role.
• Assist service team with loading/unloading route trucks.
• Deliver clean garments and return soiled items on a timely schedule.
• Provide route coverage when needed during absences.
• Operate a company walk-in truck on designated routes.
• Work indoors and outdoors with safety in mind.
• Contribute to service department success and customer relationships.
• Maintain a Monday–Friday daytime schedule (no nights or weekends).
