Job summary

UniFirst Route Trainee program provides hands-on training while supporting daily operations and learning multiple customer accounts. You’ll help with deliveries, service, and route coverage while preparing to transition into a full-time Route Service Representative role.

The role emphasizes safety, customer-focused service, and developing strong relationships on the road, with a Monday–Friday daytime schedule and progression into a full-time RSR.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• DOT requirements including physical exam.
• Experience in customer service, route sales, or delivery is a plus.
• Able to use and learn new technologies to improve operations.
• Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet.

Responsibilities

• Participate in UniFirst’s Service Certificate Program to prepare for an RSR role.
• Assist service team by loading/unloading route trucks and starting each day accurately.
• Deliver clean garments and products, collect returns of soiled items on each stop.
• Provide route coverage during RSR absences to maintain service levels.
• Operate company walk-in truck on designated routes, emphasizing safety and customer relations.
• Engage in both indoor and outdoor environments with energy and safety focus.
• Contribute to overall Service Department success and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a predictable, Monday–Friday daytime schedule without nights or weekends.
