Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a Route Trainee to begin a rewarding career in service and customer care. You will train through the Service Certificate Program and support daily operations while learning multiple customer accounts.

You will deliver and return garments, cover routes when needed, and represent UniFirst on the road with safety and professionalism. This entry‑level role emphasizes customer focus, dependable schedule (Mon–Fri, daytime), and clear growth into a full‑time Route Service

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
• DOT compliance: physical exam.
• High school diploma, GED, or military service required.
• Strong customer service skills; ability to work independently.
• Prior experience in customer service, route sales, or delivery is a plus.
• Tech‑savvy: comfortable using and learning new technologies.
• Physical stamina: able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Participate in UniFirst’s Service Certificate Program to prepare for an RSR role.
• Support daily operations: load/unload route trucks, start each day with accuracy.
• Deliver clean garments and products, return soiled items, provide timely service on every stop.
• Provide route coverage during RSR absences on established routes.
• Represent UniFirst on the road: operate a company walk‑in truck safely.
• Engage in a physically active role across indoor/outdoor environments.
• Contribute to service department success by building customer relationships.
• Maintain a predictable Monday–Friday daytime schedule, with no nights or weekends.
