Job summary

UniFirst is hiring a Route Trainee to begin a rewarding career in field service and customer care. You will participate in a hands-on Service Certificate Program, learn daily operations, and support deliveries while preparing for a Route Service Representative role.

The position emphasizes training, safety, and strong customer relationships with a Monday–Friday daytime schedule. This entry-level role offers growth toward full-time field service opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Meet all DOT requirements, including a physical exam.
• High school diploma, GED, or military service required.
• Strong customer service skills; ability to work independently and with a team.
• Experience in customer service, route sales, or delivery is a plus.
• Comfort with learning new technologies to improve operations.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Participate in UniFirst’s Service Certificate Program to prepare for Route Service Representative role.
• Assist service team by loading/unloading route trucks and ensuring daily accuracy.
• Deliver garments and products to customers and return soiled items.
• Provide route coverage during RSR absences and uphold high service standards.
• Operate company walk‑in truck along designated routes with safety as a priority.
• Engage in a physically active role across indoor/outdoor environments.
• Contribute to service department success and customer relationships.
