Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a Route Trainee in Tampa, FL to begin a rewarding career in service and customer care. You'll receive hands‑on training through our Service Certificate Program while supporting daily operations and preparing to transition into a full‑time Route Service Representative (RSR) role.

You will assist with deliveries, route coverage, and customer accounts, learn the ropes on a company walk‑in truck, and enjoy a stable Monday–Friday daytime schedule with no nights or weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or military service required.
• Valid driver’s license, 21+ with a clean driving record.
• DOT requirements including a physical exam.
• Experience in customer service, route sales, or delivery is a plus.
• Comfort with using new technologies to improve efficiency.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Participate in UniFirst’s Service Certificate Program to prep for an RSR role.
• Support daily operations by loading/unloading route trucks.
• Deliver clean garments and return soiled items with timely service.
• Provide route coverage when needed to maintain service levels.
• Operate a company walk‑in truck along designated routes.
• Engage in indoor and outdoor environments with a focus on safety.
• Contribute to service department success and customer relationships.
• Maintain a Monday–Friday daytime schedule with no nights or weekends.
