Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a Route Trainee to begin a rewarding career in service and customer care. You will receive hands-on training and support daily operations while preparing to become a Route Service Representative.

The role emphasizes reliability, safety, and exceptional customer service as you learn multiple accounts on a route. You'll participate in a structured SCP, gain on-road experience, and advance toward a full-time RSR position.

Qualifications

• Driver's license and safe driving record (21+).
• Strong customer service skills and ability to work independently.
• Ability to lift/carry/push up to 50 lbs. and stay on feet for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the Service Certificate Program to prepare for a Route Service Representative role.
• Assist service team with loading/unloading route trucks for accuracy and efficiency.
• Deliver clean garments and return soiled items, providing reliable service with every stop.
• Provide route coverage during RSR absences to maintain established routes.
• Operate a company walk-in truck along designated routes
• Engage in a physically active role in indoor/outdoor environments.
• Contribute to service department success and maintain a predictable Monday–Friday daytime schedule.
