Job summary

Acuren is seeking experienced Rope Access Mechanical Tech II to support callout assignments across the U.S. Northwest region, with emphasis in the PNW. Preference for candidates with NDT or mechanical certifications (NACE, NCCER).

This is an intermediate role performing Rope Access Level I/II duties under supervision, ensuring safe, timely inspections. Responsibilities include planning rope access systems, maintaining equipment, reporting findings, and collaborating with multi-disciplinary

Qualifications

• Current SPRAT/IRATA Level 2 Rope Access Certification or ability to obtain
• Minimum 1000 documented hours IRATA or 500 SPRAT within 12 months
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certified NDT (ANY LEVEL)
• Technical background in NDT methods and procedures
• Knowledge of NDT equipment
• Experience in report writing preferred
• NACE or NCCER certified preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced rope access work at heights using established techniques and systems
• Plan and implement rope access systems for various work scenarios
• Maintain rope access equipment and report safety concerns
• Demonstrate skills and knowledge of Rope Access Level 2
• Examine objects under inspection with safety compliance
• Conduct inspections and complete detailed reports
• Assist in rigging and rescue plans under supervision
• Collaborate with cross-functional trade specialists
• Identify hazards and communicate to Rope Access Level III
• Other duties as assigned
