Job summary

Acuren is seeking experienced Rope Access Mechanical Techs Level I or II to support operations through callout assignments at customer sites across the U.S. Northwest Region with emphasis in the PNW.

Preference will be given to candidates with an NDT and/or mechanical trades certifications. This intermediate role carries out Rope Access Level I/II duties under supervision, requiring travel up to 50% and a strong emphasis on safety and reporting.

Qualifications

• Current SPRAT/IRATA Level 2 Rope Access Certification or ability to obtain
• Minimum 1000 documented hours in a 12-month period for IRATA certification or 500 for SPRAT
• High school diploma or equivalent education required
• Certified NDT (ANY LEVEL)
• Technical background in NDT methods and procedures
• Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results
• Knowledge of NDT equipment
• Experience in report writing preferred
• NACE or NCCER certified preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced rope access work at heights using established rope access techniques and systems while ensuring compliance with IRATA/SPRAT Level 2 standards
• Plan and implement rope access systems for various work scenarios
• Maintain rope access equipment and report safety concerns
• Demonstrate skills and knowledge of Rope Access Technician Level 2
• Establish techniques for examination of objects under inspection with safety procedures
• Conduct specialized inspections and complete detailed work reports
• Assist in rigging and rescue plans under supervision
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary trade specialists
• Identify hazards and communicate to Level III Technician
• Other duties as assigned
