Job summary

Acuren is seeking experienced Rope Access Mechanical Techs level I or II to support our operations through callout assignments at customer sites throughout the U.S. Northwest Region with emphasis in the PNW.

Preference given to candidates with NDT and/or mechanical trades certifications. This intermediate role performs Rope Access Level I/II duties safely and efficiently under the supervision of Rope Access Level III, including planning, inspection, and reporting tasks across sites.

Qualifications

• SPRAT/IRATA Level 2 Rope Access Certification or ability to obtain
• 1000 documented hours IRATA or 500 documented hours SPRAT in 12 months
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certified NDT (ANY LEVEL)
• Technical background in NDT methods and procedures
• Demonstrated ability to perform NDT tasks and interpret results
• Knowledge of NDT equipment
• Experience in report writing preferred
• NACE or NCCER certified preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced rope access work at heights using IRATA/SPRAT Level 2 standards
• Plan and implement rope access systems for various work scenarios
• Maintain rope access equipment and report safety concerns
• Demonstrate skills of Rope Access Level 2
• Examine objects under inspection with safety regulations
• Conduct inspections and write detailed reports
• Assist in rigging and rescue plans under supervision
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams
• Identify hazards and communicate to Rope Access Level III Technician
• Other duties as assigned
