Job summary

Acuren is seeking experienced Rope Access Mechanical Tech II to support our operations across the U.S. Northwest region on callout assignments with emphasis in the PNW. Preference given to candidates with NDT or mechanical certifications (NACE, NCCER, etc.).

The position involves safe, timely completion of Rope Access Level I/II duties under supervision, with willingness to travel up to 50% and local candidates preferred in Commerce City, Denver or US Northwest.

Qualifications

• SPRAT/IRATA Level 2 Rope Access Certification or ability to obtain
• Minimum 1000 IRATA documented hours or 500 SPRAT documented hours in a 12‑month period
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Certified NDT (any level)
• Technical background in NDT methods and procedures
• Demonstrated ability to perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret inspection results
• Knowledge of NDT equipment
• Experience in report writing preferred
• NACE or NCCER certified preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced rope access work at heights using IRATA/SPRAT Level 2 standards
• Plan and implement rope access systems for various work scenarios
• Maintain rope access equipment and report safety concerns
• Demonstrate Rope Access Level 2 skills
• Examine objects under inspection with safety procedures
• Conduct specialized inspections and complete detailed reports
• Assist in rigging and rescue plans under supervision
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary trade specialists
• Identify hazards and communicate to Level III Technician
• Other duties as assigned
