Job summary

Acuren is seeking experienced Rope Access Mechanical Tech II to support callout assignments across the U.S. Northwest Region, with emphasis in the PNW. Preference will be given to candidates with NDT and/or mechanical trades certifications (NACE, NCCER, etc.).

This intermediate role requires Rope Access Level I/II duties in a safe, timely manner under supervision, with travel up to 50% and potential overtime in a field setting.

Qualifications

• Current SPRAT/IRATA Level 2 Rope Access Certification or ability to obtain
• Minimum 1000 documented hours in a 12-month period for IRATA certification or 500 documented hours in a 12-month period for SPRAT certification
• High school diploma or equivalent education required
• Certified NDT (ANY LEVEL)
• Technical background in NDT methods and procedures
• Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections
• Knowledge of NDT equipment
• Experience in report writing preferred
• NACE or NCCER certified preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced rope access work at heights using established rope access techniques and systems while ensuring compliance with IRATA/SPRAT Level 2 standards
• Plan and implement rope access systems for various work scenarios
• Maintain rope access equipment and report safety concerns
• Demonstrate skills and knowledge of Rope Access Level 2
• Examine objects under inspection with safety procedures
• Conduct specialized inspections and detailed work reports
• Assist in rigging and rescue plans under supervision
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary trade specialists
• Identify hazards and communicate them to level III technician
• Other duties as assigned
