Job summary

Serve Robotics in San Jose is seeking an Operations Associate to ensure the smooth, reliable performance of autonomous delivery robots. You’ll assist robots in the field, perform light maintenance like sensor cleaning, and help ensure on-time, safe deliveries while minimizing interruptions.

You’ll collaborate with operations, engineering, and customer support to manage deployments, escalate technical issues, and support safety and training initiatives.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience in last-mile delivery, robotics, or customer-facing industries.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong customer-facing communication and professional demeanor.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as operations require.

Responsibilities

• Maintain field readiness by supporting robots, ensuring timely response, coordination, and order fulfillment as business needs arise.
• Assist in deployment processes, including preparation, inspection, cleaning and placement of robots.
• Track, document, and close escalation tickets with clear communication and records.
• Operate company vehicles safely to move, recover, or reposition robotic units.
• Prioritize safety by following PPE rules and escalating critical events appropriately.
• Manage end-of-shift recovery by charging and accounting for all robotic assets and equipment.
• Ensure proper handling, maintenance, and storage of tools and protective gear.
