Job summary

Mercy is seeking an RN for the Virtual triage program (vAcute) to support patients and coordinate care. The role involves 24/7 ED handoffs, scheduling coordination, and education across care continuums, in alignment with Mercy policies and medical direction.

Qualifications include an active RN license, 2–3 years in Med-Surg/ED/CC, and BLS with potential unit-specific certifications as required. This remote role supports Mercy’s telehealth initiatives and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• 2–3 years of Med-Surg/ED/CC experience.
• BLS required; additional certifications may be required (ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, PALS, PEARS, C-EFM).

Responsibilities

• Serve as 24/7 point of contact for ED handoffs.
• Facilitate scheduling for patients in care coordination.
• Provide care coordination support across the care continuum.
