Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Registered Nurse for the vAcute virtual triage program in Missouri. You will operate as a 24/7 point of contact, coordinating ED handoffs and scheduling, while supporting patients across the care continuum.

The role emphasizes education and collaborative care in a high-demand setting. Qualified candidates will have an RN license and 2–3 years in Med Surg/ED/CCU, with BLS and unit-specific certifications as required.

Qualifications

• Must have RN licensure in hiring state or compact licensure.
• 2–3 years of recent Med Surg, ED, or Critical Care experience.
• Basic Life Support certification required, with timeline for additional certifications as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as 24/7 point of contact for ED handoffs.
• Facilitate scheduling and care coordination for Mercy patients.
• Educate patients and coordinate care across the vAcute program.
• Adapt duties by unit needs and instruction from Medical Director.
