Job summary

Mercy is seeking an experienced registered nurse for its Virtual triage vAcute program. The nurse will provide 24/7 patient support, coordinate ED handoffs, and facilitate scheduling for patients in Mercy’s Intense Care Coordination program.

The role requires an RN license in the hiring state (or compact licensure), 2–3 years of Med Surg/ED/ICU experience, and completion of BLS with unit-specific certifications as needed.

Qualifications

• RN licensed in the hiring state or with compact licensure
• 2-3 years of Med Surg, ED, or Critical Care experience
• BLS certification required; additional clinical certifications may be required depending on unit

Responsibilities

• Serve as 24/7 point of contact for ED handoffs and care coordination
• Facilitate scheduling for Mercy Virtual triage program
• Support patients enrolled in Mercy’s Intense Care Coordination program across the care continuum
