Job summary

Mercy seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Mercy Virtual triage team in the vAcute program. This 24/7 role supports patients across the care continuum, coordinating education and care with the Medical Director and ED handoffs in a remote setting.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license in the hiring state (or compact licensure), with 2–3 years in Med Surg, ED, or Critical Care, and BLS certification. Ongoing certification may be required.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the hiring state or compact licensure required.
• 2–3 years of recent Med Surg, ED, or Critical Care experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; other ACLS/NRP/PEARS may be required based on unit.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a 24/7 point of contact for ED handoffs.
• Facilitate scheduling and coordinate patient care across the continuum.
• Support patients enrolled in Mercy's Intense Care Coordination program.
• Education and care coordination in the vAcute program.
