Job summary

MICRO CENTER is seeking self-motivated Retail Computer Technicians in Pennsylvania. Starting at $15/hour base pay with productivity incentives to increase hourly rates up to $18-$35 plus SPIFFs.

Role includes service counter support and repair shop work, with opportunity to earn uncapped commissions based on productivity. Responsibilities include customer consultations, troubleshooting, and communicating repair status.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required or strongly preferred.
• CompTIA A+ certification or Apple ACMT/ACiT certifications preferred; ability to certify within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person consultations and troubleshooting at the service counter for computers and related products.
• Recommend service solutions including data backups, antivirus, warranties, and subscriptions.
• Diagnose and document hardware/software issues on desktops, laptops, mobile devices, TVs, and monitors.
• Assemble custom computers for BYO sales.
• Maintain certifications and stay up-to-date with products and technologies.
• Handle cash, transactions, and maintain clean, organized work area with accurate inventory.
• Communicate repair status to customers via multiple channels.
