Job summary

MICRO CENTER is seeking self-motivated Retail Computer Technicians with a starting pay of $15/hour, increasing up to $35 with productivity. This role involves providing consultations at the service counter and diagnosing repairs in-store.

Qualifications

• 1+ year related computer service repair or technical customer service experience preferred.
• Certifications in CompTIA A+, Apple ACMT and ACiT or equivalent required within 90 days.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for prolonged periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person consultations and troubleshooting for customers at the service counter.
• Recommend service solutions including data backups, anti-virus, and support subscriptions.
• Identify and diagnose hardware failures or software problems on various devices.
• Assemble custom computers sold by the expert sales team.
• Maintain a cash till and handle customer transactions accurately.
• Communicate repair status to customers via various methods.
