Job summary

Micro Center in Marietta, GA seeks self-motivated, results-driven Retail Computer Technicians. Starting at $15/hour base pay with productivity incentives to $18-$35 + SPIFFs, with uncapped earning potential for productive associates.

You will split time between the service counter assisting customers with service options and the workshop diagnosing and repairing devices, while keeping customers informed of status and ensuring accurate records and friendly, knowledgeable support.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; related computer service repair or technical customer service experience preferred.
• CompTIA A+ certification or Apple ACMT and ACiT certifications; Apple certifications highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to multi-task and adjust priorities.
• Physical requirements: lift up to 50 lbs, stand for prolonged periods.
• Shifts include hours before/after store hours, mornings, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person consultations and troubleshooting at the service counter for computers, accessories, and other store products.
• Recommend service solutions including data backups, antivirus, extended warranties, and support subscriptions.
• Identify, diagnose, and document hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, mobile devices, TVs, and monitors.
• Assemble custom computers for BYO sales.
• Maintain up-to-date technical and vendor certifications and reference manuals.
