Job summary

IHOP is seeking a General Manager to direct the operation of an assigned unit, building professional working relationships with IHOP employees and guests and implementing the Craft Training program for hourly staff.

Responsibilities include executing annual objectives across operations, marketing, guest service, and HR, managing the floor, maintaining guest satisfaction, and ensuring SOP compliance and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED and 2–4 years related experience.
• Ability to lead, train, and supervise restaurant staff.
• Strong communication and guest relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise the unit's operation including staff scheduling and performance.
• Implement IHOP training programs for hourly employees to improve operations and guest experience.
• Manage financial, marketing, guest service and HR objectives per SOP and operations plan.
• Ensure food safety, SOP compliance, inventory, and proper handling of guest complaints.
• Recruit, train, and retain staff; administer compensation and conduct performance appraisals.
