Job summary

IHOP is seeking a General Manager to direct the operation of an assigned unit and drive guest satisfaction, financial results, and team performance. You will develop relationships with guests and employees, implement training programs, manage budgets, ensure SOP compliance, and lead recruitment and coaching.

The role requires strong leadership, safety compliance, and the ability to balance service quality with profitability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 2–4 years related experience or equivalent.
• Ability to speak and read English; communicate with guests and staff.
• Driver’s License required; IHOP training certification may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain professional relationships with IHOP employees and guests.
• Implement the Craft Training program for all restaurant hourly employees.
• Execute annual financial, local marketing, guest service, and HR objectives per SOP and plan.
• Manage the restaurant floor and maintain regular guest contact; handle complaints professionally.
• Ensure food safety and SOP compliance; manage supplies and inventory.
• Recruit, train and retain staff; conduct coaching; administer compensation; performance appraisals and merit increases.
• Maintain safety, security, and cleanliness; ensure proper records and reporting.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
