Job summary

IHOP is seeking a General Manager to direct the operation of an assigned unit, overseeing staff, guest service, and compliance with SOPs. The role emphasizes building strong guest relationships, implementing training programs, and achieving financial and service objectives.

The General Manager will supervise hourly employees, recruit and develop a team, manage inventory and safety standards, and ensure high-quality food presentation and service in alignment with company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 2–4 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain professional working relationships with IHOP employees and guests.
• Implement the Craft Training program for all restaurant hourly employees to improve unit operations and the guest experience.
• Execute annual financial, local restaurants marketing, guest service, and human resource objectives, strategies and tactics for the unit.
• Manage the restaurant floor and maintain regular contact with guests; address guest complaints promptly and professionally.
• Recruit, train and retain employees; conduct coaching and document performance appraisals and merit increases.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation, maintain inventory and supply pars, and ensure proper equipment and premises conditions.
