Job summary

Avanath is seeking a detail‑oriented Assistant Community Manager to support daily operations across reporting, rent processing, leasing, and marketing at our property. You will help oversee community staff and maintain resident satisfaction while ensuring compliance with housing laws.

This role requires strong communication, bookkeeping experience, and familiarity with Yardi Voyager. You will partner with the Community Manager to manage budgets, vacancies, and resident relations, contributing to

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience as an Assistant Community Manager
• LIHTC/Tax Credit Program Knowledge required
• Excellent communication and customer service dedication
• Strong bookkeeping and rent collection experience
• Understanding of landlord/tenant law and Fair Housing laws
• Interpersonal, organized, and resourceful
• Proficient with Windows, Word, Excel, internet and e-mail

Responsibilities

• Manage resident relations and respond to complaints, questions, and requests promptly
• Oversee leasing activities and assist with leasing of apartments
• Process rents, security deposits, and other community income
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing and other laws across operations
• Support monthly projections, vacancies, make-ready units, and property inspections
• Assist Community Manager and Regional Manager in performance reviews and reporting
• Maintain professional appearance and a service-oriented environment
• Oversee staff in Community Manager’s absence and assist Leasing Consultants
