Job summary

Avanath Capital Management, LLC in Los Angeles is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to support the Community Manager in day-to-day operations, reporting, rent processing, leasing, marketing, and staff oversight. You will engage residents with professional service and ensure accurate recordkeeping.

The role requires LIHTC knowledge, strong communication, experience with Yardi Voyager, and a solid bookkeeping background.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as Assistant Community Manager.
• LIHTC/Tax Credit program knowledge required.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Solid bookkeeping and rent collection background.
• Strong understanding of landlord/tenant law and Fair Housing laws.
• Interpersonal skills with diverse residents and staff.
• Proficient computer skills: Word, Excel, email.
• Working knowledge of Yardi Voyager.

Responsibilities

• Resident relations and exceptional customer service.
• Handle leasing duties including tours and applications.
• Oversee community operations in Community Manager's absence.
• Process rents, deposits, and financial records accurately.
• Maintain confidential resident files and respond to issues promptly.
• Assist with monthly projections and property inspections.
• Ensure adherence to Fair Housing and company policies.
• Lead staff in the Community Manager's absence.
