Job summary

Avanath Capital Management, LLC is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to support day-to-day operations, reporting, rent processing, leasing, and marketing across our communities. You will oversee staff in the Community Manager’s absence, maintain resident relations, and ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws.

The role requires 2+ years in a similar position, LIHTC knowledge, strong communication, bookkeeping, and proficiency in Yardi Voyager and Windows.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience as an Assistant Community Manager.
• LIHTC/Tax Credit Program knowledge is required.
• Excellent communication skills and dedication to customer service.
• Solid bookkeeping and rent collection experience.
• Thorough understanding of landlord/tenant law.
• Strong understanding of Fair Housing Laws.
• Superior interpersonal skills; mature, flexible, resourceful.
• Solid computer knowledge, Windows (Word, Excel), email.
• Working knowledge of Yardi Voyager Property Management software.

Responsibilities

• Manage resident relations and customer service, addressing complaints and requests promptly.
• Assist with leasing duties including tours for prospective residents.
• Handle all property finances: collect, post, deposit rents and security deposits.
• Review ledgers to identify delinquencies and communicate with residents.
• Assist with monthly projections, vacancies, make-ready units, and site inspections.
• Meet with Community Manager and Regional Manager to review performance.
• Oversee property operations in Community Manager’s absence.
