Job summary

Avanath is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to support daily operations across our community. You will assist with rent processing, leasing, reporting, and overseeing staff in the Community Manager's absence, while maintaining a professional resident-focused approach.

The ideal candidate has at least two years in an assistant management role, knowledge of LIHTC, fair housing, and strong bookkeeping, plus proficiency with Yardi Voyager and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years as Assistant Community Manager or similar role.
• LIHTC/Tax Credit program knowledge required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong bookkeeping and rent collection experience.
• Understanding of landlord/tenant law and Fair Housing laws.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency with Windows, Word, and Excel.
• Working knowledge of Yardi Voyager.

Responsibilities

• Manage resident relations and customer service with timely responses.
• Assist leasing, rent processing, and show apartments as needed.
• Post, deposit, and track rents and security deposits; handle delinquencies.
• Support monthly projections and property reporting.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing and company policies.
• Oversee operations in Community Manager’s absence.
