Job summary

Avanath Capital Management, LLC is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to support leasing, reporting, rent processing, and daily community operations. You will manage resident relations, oversee staff in the Community Manager’s absence, and ensure adherence to Fair Housing and landlord/tenant laws.

The role emphasizes accuracy in bookkeeping, timely rent collection, and professional interaction with residents and vendor partners, fostering a positive living environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience as an Assistant Community Manager.
• LIHTC/Tax Credit Program Knowledge required.
• Excellent communication skills and dedication to customer service.
• Solid bookkeeping and rent collection experience.
• Understanding of landlord/tenant law and Fair Housing Laws.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse personalities.
• Organized and resourceful with good computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel).
• Working knowledge of Yardi Voyager Property Management software.

Responsibilities

• Maintain resident relations and provide excellent customer service.
• Assist leasing duties including tours and applications.
• Process rents, security deposits, and other income.
• Support monthly projection reporting and rent collections.
• Oversee staff in Community Manager’s absence.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing guidelines.
• Address resident concerns promptly and professionally.
