Job summary

Avanath is a community-focused property management company seeking an Assistant Community Manager to support operations, leasing, and resident relations at our San Jose properties. You will handle rent processing, reporting, and oversee staff in the Community Manager’s absence, while upholding Fair Housing standards and professional service.

The role requires strong communication, bookkeeping ability, and knowledge of LIHTC/Tax Credit programs, with proficiency in Yardi Voyager and MS Office.

Qualifications

• LIHTC/Tax Credit program knowledge required.
• Excellent communication and customer service dedication.
• Solid bookkeeping and rent collection experience.
• Thorough understanding of landlord/tenant law.
• Strong understanding of Fair Housing Laws.
• Superior interpersonal skills and organization.
• Proficiency with Windows, Word, Excel, Internet and Email.
• Working knowledge of Yardi Voyager.

Responsibilities

• Manage resident satisfaction and respond to issues promptly to resolve service concerns.
• Oversee leasing activities and ensure Fair Housing compliance and accurate rent processing.
