Job summary

Avanath is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to assist in all operational duties of the Community Manager, including reporting, rent processing, leasing, and overseeing the community and associates in the manager's absence.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years as an Assistant Community Manager, LIHTC knowledge, and strong customer service with solid bookkeeping and rent collection skills. Proficiency in Yardi Voyager and Microsoft Office is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience as an Assistant Community Manager.
• LIHTC/Tax Credit Program Knowledge required.
• Excellent communication skills and dedication to customer service.
• Solid bookkeeping and rent collection experience.
• Thorough understanding of landlord/tenant law.
• Strong understanding of Fair Housing Laws.
• Interpersonal skills and professionalism.
• Solid computer knowledge (Word, Excel) and email.
• Working knowledge of Yardi Voyager.

Responsibilities

• Assist in leasing duties, including touring prospective residents.
• Process rent payments, deposits, and income records.
• Maintain resident files and enforce lease terms.
• Respond to resident inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
• Support Monthly Projection Reporting and make‑ready units.
• Oversee staff in Community Manager’s absence.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing and ADA laws.
