Job summary

ABB Drive Products is seeking a remote VFD Support Specialist in the United States. You will provide technical support to customers, end users, and field technicians, addressing commissioning, troubleshooting, and warranty evaluations for Low Voltage VFDs.

You will collaborate with engineering, field service, sales, and product teams to resolve issues, document cases in Salesforce, and stay current with VFD technologies. A US work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years electrical/technical experience or equivalent
• REQUIRED: Knowledge of how Variable Frequency Drives work
• Strong understanding of electrical principles and troubleshooting
• Must communicate in English and be computer-literate
• Work authorization to work in the US

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support via phone and email for VFD applications
• Assist with drive programming, parameter configuration, and control system integration
• Collaborate with engineering, field service, sales, and product teams
• Collaborate with the warranty team to process replacements and labor authorizations
• Maintain detailed case documentation using Salesforce Case Management
• Stay current with VFD technologies, software updates, and industry trends
