ABB Inc. is seeking a VFD Support Specialist to provide high-quality technical support to customers, sales channels, and product teams.

The role covers Low Voltage VFDs, 3-phase power, and system wiring, with hybrid work in New Berlin, WI, and remote options across the United States. You will diagnose and troubleshoot drive issues, assist with programming and integration, and document cases in Salesforce, while staying current with VFD technologies and industry trends.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 4+ years electrical/technical experience or an associate's degree with 6+ years experience.
Knowledge of how Variable Frequency Drives work is required.
Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal & written) and be computer-literate.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support via phone & email for VFD-related issues, including commissioning, troubleshooting, and warranty evaluations.
Assist customers with drive programming, parameter configuration, and integration with control systems.
Collaborate with engineering, field service, sales, and product teams to resolve complex issues.
Coordinate with the warranty team to initiate warranty replacements and labor authorization.
Maintain detailed documentation of support cases and solutions using Salesforce Case Management.
