Job summary

ABB is seeking a VFD Support Specialist to provide technical assistance to customers, sales channels, and product teams. The role covers VFDs, 3-phase power, system wiring, and connectivity, with a hybrid work model in New Berlin, WI, and remote options across the United States.

You will handle phone and email support, assist with drive programming and wiring, work closely with engineering and warranty teams, and maintain case documentation in Salesforce.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years in Electrical/Technical fields, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of how Variable Frequency Drives work is required.
• Ability to troubleshoot drives using electrical principles and documentation.
• English communication skills and US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support via phone and email for VFD applications and related systems.
• Assist with drive programming, parameter configuration, and control system integration.
• Collaborate with engineering, field service, sales, and product teams.
• Coordinate warranty replacements and labor authorizations with the warranty team.
• Document support cases and solutions using Salesforce Case Management.
• Stay current with VFD technologies and industry trends.
