ABB Inc. is hiring a VFD Support Specialist to provide technical assistance to customers, field techs, and internal teams. The role spans Low Voltage VFDs, 3-phase power, system wiring, and connectivity, with a hybrid work model in New Berlin, WI and remote US options.

Responsibilities include commissioning support, programming help, and warranty coordination. You’ll collaborate across engineering, service and product groups, document cases, stay current on VFD tech, and communicate in English.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree with 4 years of electrical/technical experience, or an associate's with 6 years, or HS diploma with 8 years.
• Knowledge of how Variable Frequency Drives work.
• Strong understanding of electricity principles and troubleshooting.
• Ability to respond to inquiries in English and be computer-literate.
• Candidates must be eligible to work in the US.

Responsabilidades

• Provide technical support via phone & email for VFD-related issues, including commissioning and warranty evaluations.
• Assist with drive programming, parameter configuration, and integration with control systems.
• Collaborate with engineering, field service, sales, and product teams to resolve complex technical issues.
• Collaborate with warranty team to initiate warranty replacements and labor authorizations.
• Maintain documentation of support cases using Salesforce Case Management.
• Stay current with VFD technologies, software updates, and industry trends.
