ABB is seeking a VFD Support Specialist to deliver technical support to customers, sales channels, and product teams. The role covers VFDs, 3-phase power, wiring, and connectivity with a focus on commissioning, troubleshooting, and software configuration.

The position operates in a hybrid model in New Berlin, WI, and remote within the United States, with emphasis on collaboration and continuous learning. Must have relevant electrical experience and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 4 years of relevant Electrical, Technical experience OR Associate's degree and 6 years of relevant Electrical, Technical experience OR High School Diploma/GED and 8 years of relevant Electrical, Technical experience required.
• Knowledge of how Variable Frequency Drives work (REQUIRED).
• Ability to troubleshoot drives using electrical principles.
• Strong verbal and written English communication; computer-literate.
• Candidates must have work authorization to work in the US for ABB.

Responsabilités

• Provide technical support via phone and email for VFD-related issues including commissioning, troubleshooting, and warranty evaluations.
• Assist customers with drive programming, parameter configuration, and control-system integration.
• Collaborate with engineering, field service, sales, and product teams to resolve complex issues.
• Coordinate with warranty team to initiate replacements and labor authorizations.
• Maintain detailed case documentation in Salesforce and other tools.
• Stay current with VFD technologies, software updates, and industry trends.
