Job summary

ABB Inc. is seeking a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) Support Specialist for a remote role within the United States, reporting to the Technical Support Team Lead.

You will handle technical support for VFDs, assist with drive programming and integration, and collaborate with engineering, field service, and product teams to resolve advanced issues. Qualifications include a relevant Electrical/Technical background and US work authorization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with relevant electrical/technical experience required.
• Experience with VFDs and electrical troubleshooting is essential.
• English communication skills (verbal and written) required.
• US work authorization to work for ABB in the US is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support via phone and email for VFD applications, troubleshooting, and warranty evaluations.
• Assist customers with drive programming, configuration, and integration with control systems.
• Collaborate with engineering, field service, sales, and product teams to resolve complex issues.
• Coordinate with warranty team to initiate replacements and labor authorization.
• Document support cases and solutions using Salesforce Case Management and other tools.
• Stay current with VFD technologies, software updates, and industry trends.
