Job summary

ABB in the United States is seeking an Inside Sales Support specialist to execute daily customer activities, including order entry, tracking, and order management with local units and ABB groups.

This remote role requires coordination across business units to ensure on-time delivery, and to align bid proposals with customer requirements. Occasional travel to client sites or ABB locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of technical customer support experience in the Industrial, Utility or related fields, or equivalent experience.
• General knowledge of power transmission & distribution products/systems preferred.
• Previous experience with business to business customer support preferred.
• Must have knowledge and skill in utilization of computer databases; empower experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily customer activities including order entry, tracking and order management.
• Coordinate with local business units to track orders and ensure on-time delivery.
• Coordinate input from ABB groups to ensure bid proposals meet customer requirements.
• Process information on multiple projects and respond to changes in priorities.
• Attend meetings to exchange information and analyze contract requirements.
• Investigate technical problems and establish procedures to prevent recurrences.
• Duties may require domestic travel to customer locations or ABB sites.
• Initiate change orders and expedite collection of overdue invoices.
