Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a Motorola Solutions subsidiary, seeks a Business Development Engineer for the US Marine Corps. You will bridge RF capabilities with Marine Corps requirements, working with Applications Engineering to demonstrate field-ready StreamCaster MANET radios across diverse environments.

You will travel up to 50% to customer sites and labs, with remote work possible depending on location. This role reports to the Director of Applications Engineering and supports strategic priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, or Network Engineering or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years in systems engineering, technical business development, or defense tech roles; OR HS diploma with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Exposure to Software-Defined Radios (SDRs), IP-based routing protocols, or tactical communication systems.
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months; must be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USMC operational priorities and map requirements to tactical radio solutions.
• Plan, configure networks, and execute field trials and user evaluations.
• Collaborate with Engineering to verify architectures and with BD to align with strategic priorities.
• Build and present technical demonstrations for expeditionary and tactical edge needs.
• Support RFI/RFP responses and test end-to-end network architectures.
• Engage with MARCORSYCOM, MCWL, PEO Land Systems and naval warfare centers.
