SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Design Engineer II, Transmission to own the preliminary transmission line design for solar, storage, and interconnection projects.

This fully remote role requires coordinating with internal teams and external partners to align design scope, schedule, and risks from kickoff through handoff. The position emphasizes leadership, experience in transmission line design software, and adherence to industry standards, with strong collaboration across engineering,

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, civil, or related engineering.
• PE licensure is nice-to-have.
• 3+ years of experience in transmission line design or related power engineering.
• Proficiency in transmission line design software (PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, PLS-TOWER, AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS).
• Understanding of NESC, IEEE, and regulatory standards.

Responsabilidades

• Own the first-pass preliminary transmission line design and technical ownership for projects.
• Coordinate with estimating, BD, and other teams to align scope, schedule, and commercial assumptions.
• Engage with clients, utilities, and vendors to review requirements and identify risks.
• Coordinate EORs and subcontractor proposals and ensure alignment with scope and LNTP needs.
• Handoff to Preconstruction Engineering with complete RFI and design risk documentation.
