Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technical Support Coordinator IV to own Tier 2 emergency roadside cases from start to finish.

The role involves deciding between internal technician call-outs or third-party work, and resolving complex vehicle issues to improve uptime and customer experience. The position is remote with a Tuesday–Saturday 3:00pm–11:30pm EST schedule, and an hourly rate of $28.00 with $1.00 2nd shift and $1.50 3rd shift differentials.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• ASE certifications preferred.
• 5+ years working in a Ryder shop environment preferred.
• 2+ years in Ryder operations direct customer service exposure preferred.
• 4+ years in transportation maintenance required.
• 2+ years in technical diagnostic and customer resolution exposure.

Responsibilities

• Assess, troubleshoot and remedy vehicle roadside breakdowns with full autonomy of decisions related to cost and uptime.
• Assist with follow ups, escalations, and service provider interactions; provide summaries to maintenance team.
• Provide updated technical knowledge to the maintenance team, including OEM information, internal training, and bulletins.
• Mentor the Tier 1 call center team; provide status updates and training.
