Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technical Support Coordinator IV to own Tier 2 emergency roadside cases from start to finish.

You will decide whether to deploy an internal technician or contract a third party, and you will troubleshoot and resolve vehicle issues impacting uptime. This remote role offers Tuesday–Saturday, 3:00pm–11:30pm EST, with a base pay of $28.00 per hour plus a $1.00 and $1.50 shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Ryder operations (shop) environment preferred.
• 2+ years in Ryder operations direct customer service exposure preferred.
• 4+ years in transportation maintenance required.
• 2+ years in technical diagnostic and customer resolution exposure related to most major vehicle/engines in Ryder fleet required.
• ASE certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, research, troubleshoot and remedy vehicle roadside breakdowns with full autonomy of decisions related to cost and uptime.
• Assist with follow ups, escalations, service provider interactions in partnership with RCRC agents and leadership; provide summaries and analysis to improve breakdowns.
• Provide updated technical knowledge to the maintenance team, including OEM information and internal training.
• Mentor the Tier 1 call center team; provide status updates and periodic training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
