Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technical Support Coordinator IV to own Tier 2 emergency roadside cases from start to finish. The role decides between internal technician calls or third-party work, resolving complex vehicle issues with OEM and diagnostics knowledge.

The position requires strong maintenance expertise, the ability to work in high-pressure situations, and technical communication with customers and drivers. Shift hours Friday–Monday, with hourly pay and differentials.

Qualifications

• Five or more years working in Ryder Operations (shop) environment preferred.
• Two or more years in Ryder operations direct customer service exposure preferred.
• Four or more years in transportation maintenance required.
• Two or more years in technical diagnostic and customer resolution exposure related to most major vehicle/engines in Ryder fleet required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and troubleshoot vehicle roadside breakdowns with full autonomy on cost decisions.
• Escalate with service providers and provide periodic summaries to maintenance teams.
• Transmit updated technical knowledge to maintenance teams using OEM info and internal trainings.
• Mentor Tier 1 call center team and provide status updates and training.
